The ELI welcomes second-language speakers seeking education, careers, and financial stability. We offer ESL counseling, financial coaching, career information, food assistance, and ESL support. 

 
The ELI can take you through the steps of application, counseling, and enrollment. You will need to take the following steps to enroll:

1.     Apply at http://www.skylinecollege.edu/general/admissions/apply.html. If you need help with this process, please come to campus to room 1218, and the staff at the English Language Institute will be happy to assist.  You can call 650-738-7089 to arrange to come in.

2.     Take the Placement Test.  You can make an appointment to do this here:  http://skylinecollege.edu/general/placement_testing/index.html

3.     Get an orientation to the college.  Call the ELI at 650-738-7089 to learn of any upcoming orientations.

4.     Make an appointment to meet with a counselor.  Call the ELI at 650-738-7089 to make an appointment, or drop by room 1218, or send an email to skyeli@smccd.edu .  

5.     Register for classes.  The staff at the ELI will be happy to assist you with this process.

 

 Please note: If you are an out-of-state resident, the fee structure will be different than for California residents.
