Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID): Health and Research Topics

ASM Microbiology Journals: The American Society for Microbiology provides a free database of articles from its 10 journals (listed below), including full text from January 1998 to the present and abstracts only from January 1992 to December 1997. How to use the ASM journals database

PubMed Central: Archive of free full-text biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), developed and managed by NIH's National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) in the National Library of Medicine (NLM)

BioMed Central: Over 200 open access (free) journals covering all areas of Biology and Medicine. Registration required.
