Alice Bulos

Alice Bulos is a charter member of the President's Council.  Her professional experience includes serving as a professor and chairwoman in the Department of Sociology at the Catholic University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She was President Clinton’s appointee (1993) to the Federal Commission on Aging.  Alice has served on the boards of the San Mateo Head Start, the American Red Cross, and currently is on the Commission on the Status of Women.  She is a member of the California Democratic Party, Chairman Emeritus for the Central Committee of the Fil-Am Democratic Caucus, and a delegate to five Democratic National Conventions, and is the President of the California Health Initiative.  Alice’s personal interests include the political empowerment of the community, organizing forums to educate the community, and reading.
